Joshua Learning to Sit

Last month was the month Joshua decided to work really hard on figuring out how to sit up. He can sit pretty well now, though he falls over quite a bit. I think he has abandoned mastering sitting for awhile and is concentrating on pushing up and scooting around. I've seen him scoot backwards a few times in the last week. And he is also rolling to move himself toward a toy he wants to play with. This boys wants to move! Forgetting sitting around and watching the action - he wants to be a part of it!

He started off learning to sit in the boppy pillow by himself.

Then he started sitting very well on his own with just a tiny grip on mom's hand to steady himself.

Soon he was a big boy sitting all alone but pretty bent over doing the tripod sit.

Now he has it mastered sitting straight and tall by himself. But look at that serious face while he concentrates so he doesn't fall.
