Christmas Fun

We are in the midst of a great time of Christmas celebration with family. We left for Grand Rapids on December 23rd. But before leaving Santa visited our house a little bit early and left us stockings full of fun gifts.

When we arrived in Grand Rapids, there was a lot of snow! It has since started to rain and a lot of it has melted. But Caleb got to go out in the snow with his Aunt Rachel and Mimi and Papa (Nicole's parents) on Chrstmas Eve before it all melted. Here is a picture of Mimi sledding with Caleb. The whole family got new pijamas from Mrs. Claus (Mimi) on Christmas Eve. We got some great pictures of everybody in their pijamas - including a priceless (and disgusting) picture of Joshua spitting up during picture time!

We opened presents with Mimi, Papa and Aunt Rachel on Christmas morning and then David and Emily arrived in time to have dinner with us that evening. We celebrated Christmas on the 26th with my extended family. Today I went to visit my great-grandmother with my brother David and Caleb and Joshua. It was a very precious time with my great-gandmother who will turn 96 tomorrow! She was extremely alert today and happy to see her great-great-grandsons.

And the fun has just begun! We are staying in Grand Rapids for a few more days since we are celebrating Christmas with Matt's family here on December 31st. Once we get the car all packed and get settled somewhere with the boys, we might as well just stay put! It would be more work to pack the car again and go home in between family visits. So, we are just hanging out and trying to see more family and friends. My sister Rachel got a Wii for Christmas, and I think Matt and I like it as much as she does, so we'll just hang out here for a while! Tonight we are getting together with my extended family again and then we will see Matt's mom tomorrow.
