Birthday Season

The Brown family is in the midst of birthday season right now. For labor day weekend, we are up in Grand Rapids to celebrate Nicole's sister Rachel's 12th birthday (September 1st). We're also celebrating my twenty-something'th birthday (September 4th) with my family this weekend. Other August / September birthdays are my dad and sister Dorrie (both August 13th), Nicole's dad (August 16th), my sister Amy (September 19th), and of course Joshua (August 7th).

I would post some pictures except I find myself without the cable I need to transfer them to the laptop. Let me offer a few words to describe how three-point-five-week-old Joshua has changed since the last pictures (of course, I would need around a thousand words to truly take the place of a picture). Joshua is gaining lots of weight, about a pound a week. As such, he's an eating machine - back to a couple of night feedings instead of just one. But he's just as healthy, cute, and getting more lively in the last few days (more alert, etc).
